Airlie Beach House Complete
What a site! This home at Airlie Beach, Queensland, was completed in October 2019. With spectacular views all around, the design of this home was focussed on using robust materials that could withstand the tropical weather, whilst allowing for an open design that draws attention to the natural wonders of the Coral Sea.
The materiality of the home invites people to touch and feel, and connect to the home on a sensory level. A two-storey exposed, off-form concrete wall meets you at the front door and draws you through the heart of the home. Natural timber and steel are used to complement the raw concrete create warmth in the home.
